Xiamen sea rail intermodal zero kilometer connection

In the Xiamen area, Xiamen Far Sea Terminal, a subsidiary of COSCO Shipping Port, collaborates with COSCO Shipping's supply chain to provide integrated supply chain services with a full scenario smart port as the core carrier. Through deep integration of port loading and unloading and full logistics, the terminal promotes the aggregation of port related industries from a single cargo transfer station. In July 2026, China's first vertical coastline and direct sea rail intermodal dedicated line was officially completed and put into operation at Xiamen Far Sea Port, achieving seamless zero kilometer connection between sea and rail, and building an automated terminal, railway, and warehousing integrated smart supply chain hub, providing solid hardware support for reducing costs and increasing efficiency of inland goods. The attending guests visited the China COSCO Shipping Supply Chain Jiagong Logistics Automatic Charging Pile Project, Haicang Supply Chain Park, and Cross border E-commerce Supervision Center to observe the supporting supply chain scenarios such as new energy heavy-duty truck refueling, high standard warehousing, and cross-border supervision. They then visited the yard control center and sea rail intermodal operation site at the Far East Port. Data shows that in the first half of 2026, Xiamen Far Sea Port completed a container throughput of 1.367 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%, continuing to help domestic new energy products set sail overseas.

Hong Kong's Smart Green Port Upgrade
