On September 24, 2026, China's first large-scale application of 18 MW offshore wind turbine project achieved full capacity operation, which will accelerate the development of China's offshore wind power towards large capacity and low cost.

The CGN Guangdong Yangjiang Fanshi 2 million kilowatt offshore wind power project, which has been put into operation this time, consists of two million kilowatt level sub projects, including 33 18 megawatt ultra large offshore wind turbines, which is currently the largest single unit capacity offshore wind turbine model in China.

After large-scale application, it can effectively reduce the number of machine positions arranged, lower the costs of submarine cable laying, offshore foundation construction, and sea area occupation.
