On September 23, 2026, the 30000 ton annual polyolefin elastomer POE industrial demonstration plant of Daqing Petrochemical successfully completed the entire process and produced POE particle products, achieving a successful start-up of the plant. On September 26, 2026, the product quality is qualified. This project closely follows the deployment of the new material acceleration project of the group company. It is an industrial demonstration project for China Petroleum to layout high-end polyolefin new materials and create an energy and chemical innovation highland. It is also a landmark project for Daqing Petrochemical to promote industrial transformation and upgrading, and to build the pattern of refining and refined materials industry.

Breaking through the barriers of high-end materials

POE is known as the industrial gold and is widely used in high-end manufacturing, plastic modification, medical and health fields. The domestic market has long been highly dependent on imports. After years of technical breakthroughs, the Petrochemical Research Institute has completed catalyst development and thousand ton scale pilot testing, forming a complete set of technical process packages, providing solid technical support for plant construction and commissioning. The commissioning of this device has achieved the first industrial landing of China Petroleum's independently developed solution based POE complete process, effectively promoting the localization and substitution process of POE.
