Recently, Germany's Borussia M ö nchengladbach, Sany Group and SF Express held a deep cooperation signing ceremony for the European supply chain project, and the European regional central warehouse project was officially launched. This is a crucial step for SF Express to move from a single point of service to a comprehensive operation of complex links in Europe, and also provides a new sample for the collaboration between Chinese manufacturing and Chinese logistics to go global.

From green transportation to collaboration

In recent years, the cooperation between the two sides has extended from logistics services to new energy transportation and green supply chains. In 2025, both parties will participate in the release of the Green Express Zero Carbon Declaration, and Sany Electric Heavy Truck will be put into the SF Express trunk network. From new energy vehicles to central warehouses in the European region, cooperation has expanded from a single transportation link to warehousing, systems, and daily operations, exploring a new ecosystem of cross-border supply chain resilience with Chinese efficiency and European standards.

From transportation to end-to-end

Going global with the product is just the first step. The timely supply of spare parts, response to customers, and support for distributors determine whether manufacturing enterprises can truly localize their operations. Engineering machinery and industrial equipment have a wide range of categories, large specifications, and long after-sales cycles. Customers not only need cross-border transportation, but also stable spare parts, accurate inventory, and timely delivery. In response to this demand, SF Express has taken the European regional central warehouse as its core, integrating international transportation, customs clearance and pickup, warehousing operations, regional distribution, and digital capabilities, and integrating the originally scattered logistics links into a unified operational system. The central warehouse thus becomes the regional operational hub connecting inventory, orders, transportation, and customer service, helping Sany shorten the service radius of spare parts and improve the efficiency of dealer replenishment and terminal response. From a warehouse to a pan European network

This is not the first layout of SF Express's European business, nor is it a simple expansion of overseas warehouses. Instead, it is a complete closed-loop integration of cross-border transportation, warehousing and distribution, system management, and local operations in complex industrial equipment scenarios. This not only marks the upgrade of service capabilities from single point execution to full chain operation, but also reflects the deep collaboration between domestic customer interfaces and overseas delivery systems. Relevant experience will be accumulated into replicable and promotable industry-specific solutions, providing strong support for Chinese manufacturing enterprises to expand overseas markets. In the future, both parties will use the central warehouse in the European region as a pivot to promote automated warehousing and pan European sub warehouse layout, and continuously optimize inventory allocation and regional distribution networks.Editor/Gao Xue
