Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 1 # circulating water system project of Xinjiang Xinye Zhundong 2 billion cubic meters/year coal to natural gas project, undertaken by China Chemical Engineering 13th Construction Co., Ltd. The circulating water device is a key supporting unit for coal to natural gas projects, responsible for the production and supply of circulating cooling water for the entire plant, and is an important support for ensuring the continuous, safe, and stable operation of the entire system.

It is reported that the project is invested and constructed by Wojiang Clean Energy (Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone) Co., Ltd., with an estimated total investment of about 15.5 billion yuan. The process equipment includes units such as coal preparation, air separation, thermal power station, coal gasification, transformation and heat recovery, low-temperature methanol washing, methane synthesis, natural gas compression drying, coal gas water separation, phenol ammonia recovery, hydrogen production by electrolysis of water, carbon capture, etc. It is also equipped with public auxiliary and environmental protection facilities such as circulating water system, sewage treatment station, central laboratory, fire station, hazardous chemical warehouse, etc.

Relying on the abundant coal resources in the Zhundong region, the project adopts mature and reliable coal gasification and methane technology. After completion, it will produce 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually, and the products will be exported through pipeline networks to effectively supplement the regional natural gas supply gap.

At present, the EPC general contracting contract for the project has been signed and won by Saiding Engineering Co., Ltd. The contract amount is approximately 10.937 billion yuan, covering the entire process of design, procurement, and construction. At present, the preliminary conditions for on-site temporary construction, construction water and electricity are basically ready.
