On the development platform of the Yanqian oil field off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a new batch of manufacturing orders for subsea flexible pipelines have been officially confirmed. TechnipFMC has secured a new contract from Petrobras, a global subsea engineering giant that is consolidating its core position in the Brazilian deepwater oil and gas market with its continuously localized production capacity.

75 million to 250 million US dollars new orders landed
This submarine flexible pipeline contract, defined as significant level, covers an amount range of 75 million to 250 million US dollars. The project includes the design, engineering, and manufacturing of flexible flow pipelines, which will be applied to multiple pre salt oil field development projects in Brazil. Currently, the contract has been included in TechnipFMC's new orders for the third quarter of 2026. The project will fully utilize local engineering manufacturing and supply chain resources in Brazil, relying on the flexible pipeline manufacturing base located in A ç u to complete all production processes, further strengthening Brazil's local offshore energy industry supporting capabilities, while reducing supply chain risks caused by long-distance transportation across oceans.
This is the latest order in the cooperation between TechnipFMC and Petrobras. Flexible pipelines, as the core equipment for deepwater pre salt oil field development, can adapt to the complex high-temperature and high-pressure geological conditions in the Santos Basin, ensuring the stability and operational safety of oil and gas transportation. They are the key supporting equipment for Petrobras to continue promoting pre salt production plans.
Localized production capacity continues to meet the demand for deepwater development
As early as September 2025, TechnipFMC had already won two larger flexible pipeline contracts, covering the two core oil and gas areas of the Santos Basin and the Campos Basin. The Santos Basin contract amount ranged from 250 million to 500 million US dollars, while the Campos Basin contract amount ranged from 75 million to 250 million US dollars. All products were also manufactured and delivered locally in Brazil. The consecutive landing of multiple large orders means that the cooperation trust established by both parties over the years continues to deepen. TechnipFMC's mature local team and industrial layout can provide more efficient and consistent execution support for Petrobras' offshore projects. Currently, Petrobras is continuously increasing its investment in offshore oil and gas development, and the pre salt area has become its global core source of increased production. In the coming years, it will also release a large amount of demand for subsea flexible pipelines. With its established local manufacturing system and technological accumulation, TechnipFMC is expected to gain more market share in future deepwater development projects.Editor/Cheng Liting
