Recently, the signing ceremony for the Rabigh Phase II gas combined cycle power plant project in Saudi Arabia was successfully held in Riyadh. Representatives from project developer ACWA, energy facility joint development company under Saudi Energy Company, Saudi HAACO Industrial Division, and project joint venture partner Eleswedy Electric Company from Egypt attended the event together.

The project is located in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia, with a planned total installed capacity of 2400MW. It is currently one of the largest gas combined cycle power generation projects in the region. The scope of project construction covers the entire process of factory design, procurement, installation, construction, commissioning, grid connection, and performance testing.

As a key project of Saudi Arabia's national energy transformation plan, the power station has both single cycle and combined cycle high-efficiency power generation capabilities. After completion, it will effectively support the rapid increase in electricity demand brought about by local industrial development and population growth, significantly enhance the stability and reliability of Saudi Arabia's national power grid operation, calmly cope with the challenges brought by large-scale new energy grid integration to power grid security, and further consolidate Saudi Arabia's core position as a regional investment hub and energy security center.
