The Zhongyuan Haite Yuheng Pioneer Ship quietly docked at the berth and is about to carry thousands of domestic cars to the Middle East market, including nearly 2000 vehicles from Chongqing thousands of miles away, crossing mountains and seas to complete the relay from inland factories to ocean ports. This is the first time that the port area has welcomed a large number of commodity vehicles from the Sichuan Chongqing region, and a logistics channel connecting the southwest hinterland and the maritime port has officially opened.

Channel connectivity opens up a new pattern of goods supply

On October 7, 2026, the Yuheng Pioneer Ship completed all loading operations and successfully departed from the port. A total of 3356 commercial vehicles were loaded for this voyage to the Middle East region, with nearly 2000 vehicles produced in Chongqing. These vehicles come from multiple automobile manufacturers and are transported and assembled to the port area via multiple railway and highway routes. The implementation of this business has enabled Jiangyin Port Area to undertake bulk supply of goods from Sichuan and Chongqing for the first time. The sea rail intermodal transportation channel for commodity cars facing the Sichuan Chongqing region has been officially opened, and the inland source of goods in the port area has further expanded and extended to the southwest. This has provided a new and efficient logistics path for cars from the central and western regions to go abroad.

Empowering models to strengthen the hard power of port consolidation

The Jiangyin Port Area has a complete multi-dimensional transportation network for public, rail, and water transportation, relying on the country's first stop and go sea rail intermodal transportation model, extending port services, connecting railway platforms and dock yards, reducing intermediate transfer links, lowering vehicle transfer losses, and improving overall transfer efficiency. The port will coordinate and organize the entire process of vehicle collection, reception, port scheduling, and roll on/roll off shipment, continuously strengthening its ability to attract and coordinate goods from the central and western regions, so that inland car companies can smoothly utilize the resources of Southeast ports to achieve complete vehicle exports. Deeply cultivate the hub and plan for a new development landscape

As of September 2026, the export of roll on/roll off commercial vehicles in Jiangyin Port Area has exceeded 20000 units, setting a new monthly historical record. During the National Day holiday, the port area will seize the production window period and implement a 120 day special action to continuously release the production capacity of dock operations. The current port area has normalized the opening of multiple ocean roll on/roll off shipping routes in Central, Southeast, Africa, and South America, and established cooperation with numerous automobile and shipping companies.
