They were then transported directly overseas by train. By 2025, Chongqing will export 80300 sets of KD automotive parts with a value of 6.04 billion yuan, doubling both indicators year-on-year. Facing the window period of large-scale growth in the export of automotive KD parts, Chongqing is accelerating its leap towards becoming a global hub for the distribution of automotive KD parts, with integrated port functions as its core and policy advantages in ports, channels, and comprehensive protection zones.

Differentiated carrying layout in three regions

Chongqing is promoting differentiated layout and differentiated development of the three main carrying areas of Liangjiang New Area, Jiangjin District, and Yongchuan District. Liangjiang New Area is fully committed to building the main base for Chongqing Automobile Group's overseas expansion, gathering top automobile manufacturers such as Changan and Sailis. The production and sales of complete vehicles account for nearly 70% of the city's total. From January to August 2026, the export of KD parts will reach 62400 sets, with an export value of 4.821 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 121.3% and 109.4%, respectively. Jiangjin District is committed to building a multimodal transportation hub for water, highways, and railways, with access to three core resources: Jiangjin Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Xiaonanya Railway Logistics Center, and Luohuang Port. Five dimensional integration of port functions

Chongqing continues to promote the deep integration of five dimensions, including port facilities, regulatory rules, hub channels, industrial formats, and resource elements, around the characteristics of complex automotive KD parts categories, scattered batches, high completeness, and strong delivery timeliness. In terms of port facility integration, we will promote seamless connection between port cargo handling and comprehensive bonded zone warehousing, and reduce the duration of cargo detention by more than 30%. In terms of integrated port supervision, we will comprehensively implement the one declaration, one inspection, and one release customs clearance mode, innovate the batch entry, direct status transfer, and consolidated export mode, and reduce the single customs declaration time from 3 hours to 30 minutes. In terms of port business integration, the first KD factory within the comprehensive bonded zone in China has expanded the port from a single transit function to a composite function of processing, distribution, display, and trading. In terms of port channel integration, relying on the four international channels of the Yangtze River Golden Waterway, China Europe Railway Express, Western Land Sea New Channel, and Chongqing Manchuria Russia, the overall time efficiency of exporting KD parts by water transportation has been improved by more than 30%, and through rail sea intermodal transportation, it saves more than 15 days compared to traditional river sea intermodal transportation.
