Spajci asked Wang Yi to convey sincere greetings to Chinese leaders, stating that he received warm reception from the Chinese side during his participation in the conference in China in June this year. Today's visit by the Chinese Foreign Minister reflects China's emphasis on the relationship between Montenegro and China. Montenegro and China share a common historical memory and traditional friendship, and both resisted fascism and foreign aggression during World War II. Montenegro attaches great importance to China's great power status and influence, and appreciates China's responsible attitude in suppressing global oil price increases and helping small and medium-sized countries such as Montenegro overcome energy crises during the Middle East conflict, which reflects the responsibility and commitment of a great power.

Spaichi said that in recent years, Montenegro's economy and society have achieved good development, and Chinese companies have helped Montenegro successfully complete the construction of the North South Expressway. Both sides are working together to repair the Tala River Bridge, which is a project of great historical significance, bringing the two peoples closer together and becoming the best witness to the traditional friendship between the two sides. China has always been the most important partner of Montenegro on its development path, and deepening cooperation with China meets the expectations of the Montenegrin people and has received widespread public support. Montenegro is willing to continue to move forward side by side with China, plan cooperation in tourism, infrastructure, green transformation and other fields, carry out exchanges of governance experience, and accelerate the realization of their respective development and revitalization. Montenegro welcomes the new consensus reached in the China EU trade and investment consultation mechanism, and believes that as close partners and two major global forces and markets, strengthening communication and cooperation between Europe and China is conducive to the stability and development of the world.

Wang Yi conveyed the good wishes of Chinese leaders to Spasi ć, stating that Montenegro and China have always been good friends on the path of development and revitalization. Both sides respect and support each other's core interests and major concerns, which has become an important guarantee for the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations. The 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Montenegro and China is an important year that carries on the past and opens up the future. China is willing to explore with Montenegro to enhance the positioning of bilateral relations, continuously deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and become a long-term and reliable strategic partner for each other.

Wang Yi said that Montenegro and China have many similarities. We are all a nation that is not afraid of violence and firmly defends our own dignity. We have achieved victory in the anti fascist war together, and we should also be wary of the revival of militarism. We all support and practice the concept of multilateralism, and oppose the world returning to the 'law of the jungle'. We all advocate for economic globalization, defend free trade, and resist all conservative and closed practices. We all advocate for resolving disputes through dialogue and peaceful political means. The Tala River Bridge connects the hearts of the two countries and carries the history and future of their relationship. The Chinese side's assistance in repairing the bridge in Montenegro has significant historical and social significance. The Chinese side understands Montenegro's efforts to join the European Union and believes that this is not contradictory to Montenegro's strengthening of relations with China.
