On October 17, 2026, Manabek Kabaziev, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Foreign Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, attended an international seminar in Hangzhou, China. The theme of this seminar is "Entering Central Asia: Innovation and Development of China Central Asia Cooperation Path under the Digital Background" and the 9th International Symposium on Central Asian Economic and Social Development, co organized by Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics. The event brought together representatives from foreign borders, research institutions, experts, and academia in China and Central Asia.

During the plenary session, Kabaziev delivered a report titled "Digital Transformation of China Central Asia Cooperation: New Opportunities for Sustainable Development and Regional Connectivity". The speech discussed the development prospects of the China Central Asia mechanism, the digitization of the Eurasian transport corridor, the application of artificial intelligence, and the expansion of technological partnerships, with a focus on Kazakhstan's role in building an open and mutually beneficial Eurasian connectivity model.

The representative of the Institute of Foreign Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan proposed practical directions for follow-up cooperation: establishing a permanent expert dialogue mechanism between China and Central Asia on digital development, building a joint research network in the field of artificial intelligence, and creating a China Central Asia Europe digital transportation corridor.

The participation in this seminar will help promote Kazakhstan's concept of regional cooperation and consolidate the expert exchange and connection between Kazakhstan and research and analysis institutions in China and Central Asian countries.
