From the research center in Hangzhou to the think tank forum in Bishkek, China Ukraine cooperation is extending from traditional economic and trade exchanges to research exchanges and green development in both directions.

The research center in Hangzhou unveiled its plaque
The establishment of the research center provides a new platform for China and Uzbekistan to strengthen economic and social research, policy exchanges, and talent cultivation, and also creates favorable conditions for both sides to further expand cooperation areas. For Uzbekistan, strengthening exchanges with China in regional research, economic development, and digital transformation can help expand international cooperation channels and enhance mutual understanding of each other's development strategies and market environment. With the continuous deepening of economic and trade exchanges between China and Ukraine, the cooperation needs of both sides in areas such as industrial investment, technological innovation, education, and talent cultivation are becoming increasingly diversified. Based on the platform of the research center, China and Uzbekistan are expected to strengthen the connection between universities, think tanks, and enterprises, conduct more targeted research on Uzbekistan's economic development, industrial transformation, and investment opportunities, and provide reference for enterprise cooperation and project docking.

Think tank forum focuses on circulation
The 6th China Central Asia Think Tank Forum will be held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, from October 22nd to 23rd, 2026. The forum focuses on high-quality development and common modernization, and representatives of think tanks and research institutions from China and the five Central Asian countries engage in exchanges on topics such as regional modernization, industrial cooperation, and sustainable development. During this period, the representative of Uzbekistan focused on exploring the potential for cooperation between China and Central Asian countries in the field of circular economy, proposing to strengthen cooperation in waste recycling, resource reuse, and related technologies, and exploring cooperation directions for Uzbekistan to promote green transformation, improve resource utilization efficiency, and create new employment opportunities. Green industry welcomes new opportunities
The value of China Ukraine circular economy cooperation is not only reflected in ecological environment protection, but also closely related to industrial upgrading and economic benefits. In future cooperation, both parties can explore opportunities for collaboration in areas such as solid waste resource utilization, scrap car recycling, parts remanufacturing, and comprehensive utilization of waste textiles. Technical exchanges and project docking in related fields are expected to help Uzbekistan improve resource utilization efficiency, promote the conversion of some waste into reusable production resources, and create new space for the application of green technologies and the development of related industries. For Chinese enterprises, the industrial development needs of Uzbekistan also provide a noteworthy opportunity for the collaborative application of environmental protection technologies, equipment, and solutions. The establishment of the Uzbekistan Economic and Social Research Center in Hangzhou and the exchange between China and Uzbekistan on circular economy reflect the trend of continuous expansion of cooperation between the two countries. In the future, with the deepening of ties in research, technology, environmental protection, and industry, China Uzbekistan cooperation is expected to extend from traditional economic and trade exchanges to more emerging fields.Editor/Gao Xue
