In October, the Alashankou wind is tightening, and the monitoring screens of the entry and exit border checkpoints are still lit steadily. The on duty police officers patrolled each post, with warm radiators and buzzing equipment. The electricity flowing under their feet came from the Gobi scenery thousands of miles away. This border crossing has quietly changed its color.

Clean electricity on duty
Starting from October 2026, the Alashankou Port will fully apply for green power certificates for duty, public services, cultural and tourism operations, and other scenarios. Traditional energy consumption will shift towards clean energy, making it the first border port in Xinjiang to achieve full green power coverage. Nowadays, the security monitoring equipment, duty equipment, and electric heating equipment at border inspection stations all rely on green electricity for stable operation. Frontline police officers admit that they use clean electricity throughout the entire process from daily work to duty. On October 27th, employees of Bortala Power Supply Company also made a special trip to the border inspection station to conduct electricity inspections. From application to settlement, the source of every kilowatt hour of green electricity can be traced. The wind comes from the desert, the light falls on the roof, and the electricity steadily enters the booth. Keywords: Alashankou Port, Full Green Power Coverage

Green ledger of Guomen Scenic Area
The Guomen Scenic Area has also achieved full scene green power coverage, with all exhibition hall operations, tourist services, and new energy sightseeing vehicles using green power. Since the beginning of the year, a total of 40000 kilowatt hours of green power have been consumed. The operating costs of scenic spots have decreased, and red culture, open stories, and low-carbon concepts are also blending together. Xinjiang is rich in wind and solar resources and is an important clean energy base in China. Bortala Power Supply Company accurately meets the green development needs of ports, carries out policy introductions, transaction connections, and landing guarantees at the forefront, and opens up a green channel for direct supply of clean electricity to ports locally. The green power is supplied directly by the local area, and the electricity generated by the wind and solar power did not take a long detour and fell to the ground at the port. This project covers all scenarios such as public institutions, border inspection duty points, and cultural and tourism enterprises in scenic areas. It is expected to consume more than 1 million kilowatt hours of green electricity throughout the year, which is equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 900 tons.Editor/Min Jing
