There are three new runways in the flight area of the Xianyang Xianyang International Airport Phase III expansion project, of which the north first runway is 3800 meters long and 45 meters wide. The west end is equipped with a class III precision approach lighting system, and the east end is equipped with a class I precision approach lighting system ; North Second Runway is 3800 meters long and 45 meters wide, and Class I precision approach lighting systems are installed at both ends; South Second Runway is 3000 meters long and 45 meters wide, and Class I precision approach lighting systems are installed at both ends; Taxiway system; construction of precision approach fairway indicators, runway lights, taxiway lights, signage, etc.; the taxiway system navigation lights are set to meet the A-SMGCS system level IV operating requirements; 115 new aircraft positions; new No. 2 Drainage through underpasses and flight areas; new construction of runway fire-fighting pipe networks and apron fire-fighting pipelines; new construction of auxiliary facilities for flight areas; relocation of 2 scene monitoring radar stations; construction of near-air-conditioning ground wells and far-air ground air-conditioning equipment; Build car gas stations, bird repellent facilities, blow-out fences, screens, multi-source information fusion smart runway systems, etc.

The project is divided into 5 sections, China Electric Construction Airport Construction Co., Ltd. won the first section; Civil Aviation Airport Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. won the second section; Northwest Civil Aviation Airport Construction Group Co., Ltd. won the third section; Western Airport Group Construction Project Xi'an The company won the fourth bid section; Shanxi Mechanization Construction Group Co., Ltd. won the fifth bid section.

After the completion of the third phase of the expansion project, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport will become a four-runway, four-terminal terminal for aviation, high-speed rail, intercity railway (Yanliang Airport intercity, Xi'an Famen Temple intercity), and subway (line 14 It is planned to plan a super transportation hub with multiple transportation modes including Line 12 and Line 16), MRT, and highway. It is estimated that the passenger throughput will reach 95 million passengers and the cargo and mail throughput will reach 2 million tons in 2045.
