On September 11, 2020, Guangxi Hetian Expressway Co., Ltd. issued an announcement that the Bama-Pingxiang Highway Bama-Tiandong section project was re-bid. The total investment of the project is about 10.381 billion yuan and the planned construction period is 36 months.

The starting point of the Bama-Tiandong section of the Bama-Pingxiang Highway is located in Shichang Village on the south side of Bama County, intersecting with the Heba Expressway under construction, with a T-shaped hub connecting it to the south via Natao Township and Yandong Town to Tian Shimu Village, Yixu Town, Dongxian County, set up Yixu Interchange, and set up Shuoliang Interchange along Yandong River and Lingqi River to Shuoliang Town. The route continues to the south from Zhouhong Village Nahongtun through the ridge and route along the valley to the right River Valley, on the east side of Linfeng Town, crosses Nankun Passenger Dedicated Line and Nankun Railway New Line in turn followed by Linfeng Interchange to connect with G324. The main line crosses G324, Youjiang Channel and then intersects with Tanbai Expressway, with double speakers. Interchange for traffic conversion. The terminal is located on the south side of Gongjing Village, Linfeng Town, Tiandong County, with station number K67+200. This section of the route is 67.2km long.

The entire line adopts the highway standard with a design speed of 100km/h. The width of the roadbed is 26m (four lanes in both directions). There are 27,491m/66 bridges (including interoperable mainline bridges) on the main line, including 3554m/3 extra-large bridges, 23839m/62 bridges, and 98m/medium bridges, accounting for 40.91% of the length of the route. There are 68 culverts and 24 passages. There are a total of 552m/4 bridges on the Yixu connecting line, 264m/3 middle bridges, and 34 culverts. The main line has 10558m/10 tunnels, including 4092m/1 extra-long tunnel, 4126m/3 long tunnel, 1187m/2 medium tunnel, and 1153m/4 short tunnel, accounting for 15.71% of the length of the route. The length of the bridge and tunnel accounts for 56.62% of the total length of the route. Set up 5 interchanges (including 2 hubs), 868m/11 flyovers, 3 ramp toll stations, 1 maintenance work area, 2 service areas, and 1 tunnel management office.
