On November 12, 2020, the Zhenhai Bridge repair project in Tunxi District, Huangshan City, Anhui Province was officially launched. Zhenhai Bridge was built in the Ming Dynasty, with a total length of 131.2 meters and a width of 7.53 meters. It is a six-pier and seven-hole stone arch bridge and is a national key cultural relics protection unit. In July 2020, the bridge was destroyed by floods and the bridge components and stones sank into the water. It is understood that the relevant departments have completed the salvage of scattered components and stones in Zhenhai Bridge in the early stage. A total of 4,565.44 cubic meters of stone components have been salvaged, and the utilization rate is about 80%. The repair project will try its best to preserve the original historical information and try to maintain the original shape, original structure, raw materials and original craftsmanship.
