Recently, the feasibility study report of the PPP project on the Huinong (Mengningjie)-Shizuishan section of the Wuhai-Maqin Highway was approved by the Development and Reform Commission of Ningxia Autonomous Region.

It is understood that the total length of the PPP project from the Huinong (Mengningjie) to Shizuishan section of the Wuhai-Maqin Highway is about 57.8 kilometers. It is constructed in accordance with the two-way four-lane expressway standard, with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour, and an estimated investment of 5.74 billion yuan. Among them, the Ministry of Transport intends to subsidize 1.641 billion yuan of special funds for the central vehicle purchase tax. At present, the preliminary design of the project and the PPP implementation plan are being accelerated for approval. It is planned to complete the social capital bidding work in 2021 and strive to start construction as soon as possible.

In the future, the construction and implementation of the Huinong (Mengningjie) to Shizuishan section of the Wuhai-Maqin Highway will accelerate the completion of the entire Ningxia section of the Wuma Highway, promote the further optimization of the regional expressway network, and increase the number of expressways in northern Ningxia.
