On December 30, 2020, the Wuxing-Deqing section of the Huhang Expressway started construction. It is understood that this is the highway project with the largest single investment scale in Huzhou so far.

The Wuxing-Deqing section of the Huhang Expressway starts near Shengjia Bridge, Zhili Town, Wuxing District, and connects to the Shen-Su-Zhejiang-Anhui Expressway. The route basically runs from north to south, passing through Nanxun District, and finally near Xujia Bridge, Xin'an Town, Deqing County, connecting Lianhang highway. The total length of the route is about 44.9 kilometers, with 4 hubs, 5 general interchanges, 5 toll stations, and 1 service area, management sub-center, and maintenance work area. The whole line has 4 interconnection lines of Zhilidong, Linghu, Qianjin and Xiashe, which are about 13.5 kilometers long. The estimated investment of the project is 16.97 billion yuan, the design speed is 120 km/h, the two-way six lanes, the subgrade width is 34.5 meters, and the construction period is 42 months.

It is reported that after the completion of the Wuxing-Deqing section of the Huhang Expressway, Huzhou will add a new expressway to Hangzhou, which will greatly ease the traffic pressure on the existing G25 Hangning Expressway and S13 Lianhang Expressway, and further strengthen The radiating and leading role of Hangzhou Metropolitan Economic Circle promotes the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
