Demonstration project of China-Russia capacity cooperation
According to the contract, the Refining & Chemical Engineering Group and its subsidiaries will provide engineering services for the ethylene plant of the Amur Natural Gas Chemical Plant in Russia, with a contract value of approximately US$942 million. The Russian Amur Natural Gas Chemical Plant project is the first time that a refining and chemical engineering group has undertaken a general contracting project in Russia, and it is also the largest overseas contracted monomer construction project of the refining and chemical engineering group.
After the project is completed, it will become the world's largest polymer plant using light hydrocarbons as raw materials. The project is located in Prague Vischensk, the capital of the Russian Far East Amur Region. The total investment is expected to exceed 10 billion U.S. dollars. It will use the mixed light hydrocarbons produced by the upstream Amur natural gas processing plant to produce ethylene, propylene and other products by steam cracking, and further process and produce linear products.
