On June 6, 2021, the key public infrastructure projects in the new and old kinetic energy conversion starting area of Jinan City, Shandong Province officially started, and the construction of the Yellow River Sports Center project officially started.

Yellow River Sports Center Project

It is understood that the Jinan Yellow River Sports Center is located in the Cuizhai area of Jinan's new and old kinetic energy conversion pilot area. It is set next to the Yellow River, with Fenghuang Road in the north, Huahe Road in the south, G220 in the west, and Planning Road in the east. The total land area is about 145.8 hectares and the total investment is 8.5 billion yuan. The plan shows that the project plans to reach the delivery conditions by the end of December 2024.

According to the "Overall Plan for the Construction of the Starting Area for the Conversion of New and Old Kinetic Energy in Jinan" released in 2020, the Yellow River Sports Center will be centered on a football field, which will also build Jinan's first professional football field, which can accommodate 60,000 people. According to the plan, in addition to the football field, the Jinan Yellow River Sports Center project will also construct a gymnasium (ice basket sports center) and a swimming pool (national fitness center) to form a unique football cultural field and a public sports field with a football theme. The product revitalizes the venue resources, serves as the support point of the football elements of the project, and creates a sports experience area for all ages to participate in the project.
