Recently, the consortium formed by CAMCE and SemArco LLP won the bid for the EPC contract for the turnkey project of a 500,000-ton soda ash plant in Kazakhstan. The project owner is Qazaq Soda LLP, which is a subsidiary of Yildirim Holding in Turkey. The successful bid for this project is an important milestone for CAMCE to achieve business breakthroughs in the chemical industry in Kazakhstan, and it is also another fruitful result of the in-depth docking of the "Bright Road" new economic policy and the Belt and Road Initiative between China and Kazakhstan.

The project is located in the Zhambul Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The content of the project is to build a soda ash production plant with an annual output of 500,000 tons, including supporting projects such as the soda ash production process area and residential areas. The project is scheduled to start in August 2021. According to the plan, in the first phase of the project, the plant's investment will reach 400 million U.S. dollars, and the plant's production capacity will reach 1 million tons of products per year. The first phase of 500,000 tons of production capacity will be completed in 2024. The construction of the project is expected to involve about 1,000 people, mainly from the local market. After the factory is put into production, it will create 300 direct jobs and 1,000 indirect jobs.
