Highfield Solar is a joint venture of ib vogt, Highfield Energy and Halo Power. The company has reached financial close to two solar photovoltaic (PV) plants in Ireland.

The company received 160 million euros (US$188 million) in debt financing for the project from three banks, namely Kopelativ Rabobank, Landesbank Baden-Württemberg Bank and Nordland Des Bank. Each bank agreed to provide one-third of the senior debt. Peter Kavanagh, Managing Director of Highfield Energy said: "We are very pleased to reach this important milestone and we are now looking forward to completing these two solar photovoltaic projects.

This is the result of years of planning and investment. The relationship between the three partners is very positive, combining their resources, capabilities, experience and knowledge to create these first-class projects. Highfield Solar will use funds to build and operate two solar photovoltaic power plants, each with an installed capacity of 141 megawatts.

The Rospiller plant will be built on a 140-hectare site near Fox Mills, County Wexford, while the Gillingstown plant will be built on a 123-hectare site near Dulique, County Meath. Both facilities will use double-sided modules to fix the inclined support structure to optimize land use and efficiency. Work is currently underway to establish a link between solar energy facilities and the grid. The Rossping plant is scheduled to go online in July 2022, and the Jilinstown plant is expected to start operations in October 2022.
