On August 6, 2021, Anhui Hefei Public Resources Trading Center issued the public bidding announcement of the government and the social capital partner of the social capital cooperation (PPP) project of the G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway and G5011 Wuhe Expressway Xuancheng-Wuhu Section Reconstruction and Expansion Project, the tenderer Anhui Province Department of Transportation, the estimated total investment of the project is 7.66 billion yuan.

Project Overview

The G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway and the G5011 Wuhe Expressway from Xuancheng to Wuhu are important components of the national expressway network. It is connected to the Wuhe Expressway and the Wuhu Yangtze River Bridge in the north, and Xuan (City)-Guang (German) Expressway in the south. An important passage for our province to Zhejiang and other eastern coastal areas. G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway and G5011 Wuhe Expressway Xuancheng-Wuhu section are currently in the hilly plain area along the river, fully enclosed, full overpass, two-way four-lane expressway, design speed 100km/h, roadbed width 26m, the whole line adopts asphalt concrete pavement. Construction started in 1999 and opened to traffic in October 2003.

The project's reconstruction and expansion project starts at Xuanzhou District, Xuancheng City (4.3km south of Wuxuan Interchange Interchange), connects G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway Guangde (boundary between Anhui and Zhejiang Province) to Xuancheng, and ends at Wuhu Main Line Station. The total length is about 55.533km, of which the 2.255km main line of the Wuhu hub section is included in the reconstruction and expansion project of the Anhui-Sujie-Wuhu hub section of the Ningwu National Expressway. The actual reconstruction and expansion mileage of this project is 53.278km. The reconstruction and expansion of the whole line adopts the in-situ reconstruction and expansion plan of widening both sides of the existing expressway mainly, and partially widening on one side. The two-way four-lane is renovated and expanded to two-way eight-lane. The overall roadbed width is 42.0 meters, and the new part is separated on one side. The width of the roadbed is 20.75m. The design speed of the whole line is 120km/h.

The approved estimated total investment of the project is 766.65 million yuan, including 239.25 million yuan for the roadside single speaker and connecting line project of Wuxuan Airport Interchange Airport. The planned construction period is 3.5 years. The specific construction period is subject to the signed contract.

Obtaining and submitting bidding documents

The time for obtaining the bidding documents is from 09:00 on August 6, 2021 to 17:00 on August 16, 2021.
