With the advent of the era of photovoltaic power generation, the photovoltaic industry chain technology innovation is active, and the advantages of crystalline silicon heterojunction solar cells integrated with crystalline silicon bulk cells and thin film cells will become the mainstream of the third-generation cell technology in the future. On the morning of August 13, 2021, China Resources Power's 12GW high-efficiency heterojunction solar cell and module manufacturing project started. The project is located in the second phase of Zhoushan High-tech Industrial Park. The construction unit is Zhejiang Huahai New Energy Co., Ltd. The total land area is 800 acres and the total construction area is 560,000 square meters. The main construction content includes 24 500MW second-generation heterojunction solar cell production equipment lines and 24 500MW cell module packaging production lines and other main projects. The total investment of the project is 11 billion yuan.

At present, the joint venture Zhejiang Huahai New Energy Co., Ltd. has been established, and related work has been carried out simultaneously. According to the investor's plan, the project will be constructed in 4 phases. After the first phase of the project is launched, various constructions will be accelerated and it is expected to be completed and put into production in one year. In addition, according to the estimates of the investors, by 2025, after the project is fully completed and put into production, the average annual operating income will reach 19 billion yuan, and the average annual profit will be about 2 billion yuan.

After the project is completed, an industrial cluster from high-efficiency heterojunction solar cells to high-efficiency heterojunction solar cell module packaging and solar photovoltaic power generation will be formed in Zhoushan, with an annual output value of more than 19 billion yuan.
