The estimated total investment of the Lichuan-Xianfeng Expressway project is about 19.293 billion yuan. It starts from Swan Pond in the west of Lichuan City and ends near Xiaomo Village, Gaoluoshan Town, Xianfeng County, and connects to the Xuanxian Expressway under construction. The main line of the project has a total length of about 85.4 kilometers, two-way four-lane, and a construction period of 4 years.

According to reports, Lixian Expressway is an important part of the vertical and nine lines in the "Hubei Provincial Highway Network Planning Outline (2011-2030)". As one of the 12 new projects planned by Hubei Communications Investment in 2022, the terrain and geology along the route are complex, the ecological environment is fragile, the engineering construction is difficult, and the technical requirements are high. At present, Hubei Communications Investment is speeding up the preliminary work and striving to start construction as soon as possible.

According to the relevant person from the Enshi Prefecture Transportation Bureau, after the completion of the expressway, the mileage from Lichuan to Xianfeng will be shortened from 2.5 hours to 1 hour, which is of great significance to building a vertical expressway in the adjacent areas of Hubei, Hunan and Chongqing, and promoting regional rural revitalization and economic and social development. .
