On March 14, 2022, CEEC International Group and Pathum Rat Sugar Company signed an EPC contract for the integrated project of a sugar factory and a biomass power plant in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, with a contract value of US$208 million.

This project is the first new type of project signed in Thailand by the company actively promoting business transformation and upgrading, strengthening the overall planning of large-scale comprehensive new business, and cooperating with CEEC2+N+X brother units.

The project is located in Roi Et Province, northeastern Thailand. The main project includes the design and procurement of two 12,000-ton daily sugarcane sugar mills, two 16MW supporting biomass power plants for self-use and two 9.9MW grid-connected biomass power plants. , construction, installation, commissioning and trial operation.

Thailand is the world's third largest producer of sugar cane and the second largest exporter of white sugar, and the sugar industry has become one of Thailand's pillar industries. After the project is put into operation, it can produce 170,000 tons of refined sugar, 140,000 tons of white sugar and 30,000 tons of raw sugar each year, making positive contributions to the development of the sugar industry and economy in Thailand.
