Construction work on the monsoon wind project is expected to begin in 2022, with the wind farm to begin commercial production in 2025. IEAD is developing the project and, once fully operational, will provide more than 1,700GWh of green energy per year. In 2021, the company signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with Vietnam's state-owned energy company, Vietnam Electricity Company.

The electricity generated by Monsoon Wind will be delivered to central Vietnam through a dedicated 500kV transmission line.
