The construction of the BRICS New Industrial Revolution partner city network was officially launched on May 27th in Xiamen.

The New Industrial Revolution Partner City Network Project has attracted cities from 11 countries including China, Serbia, South Africa, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, and Hungary to join. Focusing on areas such as green and low-carbon, digital transformation, industrial chain collaboration, and talent cultivation, we will carry out activities such as sharing innovative resources and industry docking, and create a new platform for cross-border and intercity cooperation.

Zheng Hong, Director of the International Economic and Technological Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Director of the BRICS Industrial Capacity China Center: We use cities as nodes to build a network of new industrial revolution partner cities, which can accurately connect the resource advantages and industrial needs of various regions, and effectively integrate innovative resources, manufacturing capabilities, and market channels between cities to reduce the cost of cross-border cooperation for enterprises.

The network of partner cities in the new industrial revolution will rely on public platforms to centrally release information on investment policies, key cooperation projects, and enterprise cooperation intentions, and promote project docking and cooperation through online and offline communication activities.

Igor Jovanovic, Vice Chairman of the Belgrade City Council in Serbia: The most important aspect of such activities is that all parties can strengthen information exchange and communication, enhance understanding, and negotiate how to solve the problems currently facing our city.

In addition, the project also encourages cooperation between partner cities in industrial infrastructure such as research institutes, key laboratories, and testing institutions, promoting the establishment of cooperative relationships among innovation carriers such as industrial parks, incubators, and accelerators, and enhancing the innovation capabilities and industrial synergy level of enterprises.
