According to the size and power of the products, the Ultra V Pro series is mainly divided into three models to meet the differentiated needs of different markets and customers.

From P to N, open more than N possibilities in the future

As one of the most popular mainstream products in the market, PERC battery has almost reached the physical bottleneck in mass production conversion efficiency in recent years. The N-type TOPCon battery used in the new generation of Ultra V Pro series components of Suntech is an important breakthrough and upgrade made by Suntech's scientific research team on this basis. TOPCon battery uses a new surface passivation system and metal contact system. The perfect optical matching can maximize the light absorption and utilization capacity. At the same time, N-type silicon chip has higher minority carrier life and strong anti attenuation ability, and enables the battery to have superior bulk material matching. According to laboratory data, in the same test environment, TOPCon battery is far ahead of the current mainstream PERC battery with an efficiency difference of 1.5%, and the output efficiency is as high as 25%.

Suntech Power uses the PE process to make TOPCon battery, and the back polishing adopts the "micro velvet after polishing" method, which can effectively reduce costs and ensure high production efficiency. As the first company to study PE method and achieve mass production, Suntech Power has strict requirements and control in production, equipment and process. In 2021, Suntech will invest in the construction of 2GW N-type TOPCon high-efficiency battery intelligent factory, which is the first leading photovoltaic enterprise in the industry to invest in TOPCon technology.

This high efficiency photovoltaic cell intelligent factory project has adopted advanced digital factory solutions to achieve equipment modernization, production automation and intelligent operation, and its water is on average the industry leader. The innovation and exploration are constantly going on. According to the Suntech Power Plan, with the transformation and upgrading of boron expansion technology in the future, TOPCon battery efficiency will achieve a greater leap.

Technical breakthrough and strong upgrading of all dimensional performance

In addition to the efficiency gains brought by the N-type battery itself, the technology on the component side of the Ultra V Pro series also has incomparable absolute advantages. The strong upgrade of all dimensional performance has enabled this series of products to achieve a total power generation gain of 3.74%.

Ultra V Pro series components have excellent temperature coefficient and weak light performance, enabling it to play its role in various extreme environments: the operating temperature of this series of components is about 1.5 degrees lower than that of traditional components, the attenuation of high temperature is reduced by more than 1%, and the power generation income from low temperature reaches 1.374%; In the weak light environment such as morning and evening, rain, etc., the power generation gain of Ultra V Pro series components is up to 0.17%; The double-sided ratio of the new module is up to 85%, with an increase of more than 10% compared with the traditional module, and the resulting power generation gain is up to 1.2%. The power generation gain of Ultra V Pro series components has also been verified in the demonstration power station of Suntech Power Co., Ltd.: through a half year comparative test, the results show that the power generation of this series of products is 3.83% higher than that of traditional products after normalization.

During the manufacturing process, the N-type phosphorus doped silicon chip ensures that the product is free from the problems of the boron oxygen complex. The excellent lightening process adds luster to the Ultra V Pro series components. The components have a lower attenuation rate and a longer warranty period; The attenuation in the first year is less than 1%, and the linear power attenuation in each year is less than 0.4%. In the measured project, the BOS value of Ultra V Pro series products decreased by 3% and LCOE value decreased by 5%, which can bring customers the most intuitive economic benefit growth.
