The Romanian Ministry of Transport plans to increase the transport infrastructure budget in 2023. The 17% growth will enable the country to provide a budget of 4.73 billion euros for transport development projects. Of this amount, EUR 2415 million will be used for road improvement, and EUR 1056 million will be used for railway upgrading.

One of the projects will work in the Kluge Metropolitan Belt. The Kluge Napoka authorities signed an agreement with the National Road Infrastructure Authority. The 42 km Kluge Metropolitan Belt development plan, with a total value of 1.141 billion euros, will be carried out in two stages.
The EUR 564.34 million contract for the last two sections of the A7 Expressway between Buzo and Fosani has been approved. This work will be carried out in just two years by a joint venture consisting of SA&PE Construction, Spedition UMB, Tehnostrade and Interlanscom Impex. NRRP is providing a package of funds.
At the same time, the Romanian Ministry of Transport said that a road contract of 3.65 billion euros was awarded in 2022. The key package recently signed is the three parts of the expressway connecting Bakau and Fochani.
The first 13.2 kilometers of highways in Sibiu and Pettitte have been put into use. This section will be opened to traffic four months in advance. The construction of this part costs 124.4 million euros, and the EU provides a package of funds.
In addition, Romania's regional operation plan in the western region has improved roads, adding more than 530 kilometers of new lighting and 56 kilometers of new bicycle lanes.Editor/Xing Wentao
