Transport is a basic strategic industry for the national economy, an important service industry and an important component of the modern economic system. In order to speed up the construction of a modern comprehensive transport system, about 80 billion yuan will be invested in the construction of a new Xining to Chengdu high-speed railway, which is a line spanning Qinghai, Gansu and Sichuan provinces and is part of the China-Lanzhou-Guangzhou high-speed railway.

The total length of the line is about 840 kilometers, and the maximum speed is 250 kilometers per hour. The line starts in Xining, passes through Haidong City of Qinghai Province, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Gansu Province, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province, and ends at Chengdu Station. There are 29 stations in total. They are Xining Railway Station, Haidongxi Railway Station, Hualong Railway Station, Jianzha Railway Station, Tonge Railway Station, Gangjia Railway Station, Xiahe Railway Station, Hehe Railway Station, Luqu Railway Station, Langmusi Railway Station, Huahu Railway Station, Assi Railway Station, Ruoergai Railway Station, Banyou Railway Station, Hongyuan Railway Station, Huangshengguan Railway Station, Chuanzhusi Railway Station, Songpan Railway Station, Zhenjiangguan Railway Station, Taiping Railway Station, Longtang Railway Station, Maoxian Railway Station, Gaochuan Railway Station, Anxian Railway Station, Mianzhu Railway Station, Shifang West Railway Station, Sanxingdui Railway Station, Qingbaijiang Railway Station East Railway Station, Chengdu East Railway Station.
