Goldwind signed a contract for the second phase of Casanova Project in Brazil

Recently, the second phase of the Casanova project between Goldwind and Brazil’s San Francisco Hydropower Company was formally signed. Liang Xuan, General Manager of the South America Regional Center and other relevant persons in charge attended the event.

The Casanova project group started construction in 2012, with a total of 180MW overseas brand wind turbines installed. In 2014, the project was suspended and in trouble. Since no suitable solution could be found, the project was suspended for 5 years.

In 2019, Goldwind and the San Francisco Hydropower Company signed a component supply and technical renovation project for the 18 units of Casanova Phase I. Using mature and reliable technical capabilities, the project that has been shut down for several years has been revived and saved. This lost wind farm. Goldwind's excellent project execution capabilities and technical strength have won high recognition from customers, which has led to the establishment of the Casanova Phase II project.

Since Goldwind entered the Brazilian market in 2017, it has provided technical renovation and operation and maintenance services for 263 wind turbines in nearly ten local projects, achieving commercial operation, and the unit availability rate is as high as 99%. The signing of this project is also Goldwind's service inheritance in Brazil.

At the signing ceremony, Consul General Yan Yuqing congratulated Goldwind on the successful signing of the contract with San Francisco Hydropower Company, and extended New Year greetings to the guests present. She said that China is implementing an innovation-driven development strategy. Goldwind, as a leading new energy company in China, has created several benchmark projects in Brazil, especially in the north of Brazil, which not only brought huge economic benefits to the local area, created jobs, but also Actively fulfill social responsibilities, be enthusiastic about social welfare undertakings, and gain support from the local government and people. It is hoped that Goldwind will fully demonstrate Chinese technology, Chinese experience, Chinese speed, Chinese strength, and Chinese image in new projects, and work with San Francisco Hydro to push China-Pakistan new energy cooperation to a new level.

Alves, chairman of San Francisco Hydropower Company, and Barros, director of engineering, said that the north of Badong is rich in wind energy resources, and Goldwind Technology is well-known in the field of new energy. The company is very happy to establish a partnership with a powerful Chinese company and jointly participate in the project construction, serve the local market, and further inject new momentum into the development of local new energy.

Liang Xuan, general manager of Goldwind South America Regional Center, said that Goldwind has provided solutions for local wind power stagnation projects in Brazil, realized component supply and complete machine technical transformation, put the project back into operation, won the confidence of customers and the market, and provided It has laid a good foundation for developing new projects in the future.

Knowing each other is not far or near, thousands of miles are still neighbors.
