Ambassador Shi said that in the face of the disaster, China and Syria stand firmly together. President Xi Jinping immediately sent a message of condolences to President Bashar, and Foreign Minister Qin Gang also expressed condolences to Foreign Minister Migdad. China immediately launched the emergency humanitarian assistance mechanism, decided to provide 30 million yuan in emergency assistance to Syria, and accelerated the implementation of the ongoing food aid project. The Red Cross Society of China provided USD 200,000 in cash aid to the Syrian Red Crescent Society. This batch of medical supplies is the first batch of emergency assistance from China arriving in Syria, and relevant assistance will be implemented in the next stage. China believes that under the leadership of President Bashar, the Syrian government and people will be able to overcome the impact of the disaster at an early date and rebuild their homeland.

The Syrian side sincerely thanked the Chinese side for its selfless assistance, saying that Syria and China are good friends who "see a friend in need" and will send the above-mentioned materials to the disaster area as soon as possible. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
