At 9:17 a.m. on February 6, Beijing time (4:17 a.m. on February 6, Turkey local time), a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Kahramanmaraş Province, Turkey. It was hit by a "double-shock" earthquake, followed by multiple aftershocks in nearby regions, and 10 provinces were shaken by earthquakes of varying degrees. Several powerful earthquakes have affected 5 provinces in Syria including Aleppo, Idlib, Hama, Latakia and Tartus. Turkey and Syria are in a catastrophic situation!
