CRBC wins bid for road improvement project in Senegal

Recently, CRBC officially received the notice of winning bids for the two road improvement projects of the connection line AI and A2 in the agricultural area of Senegal. The A1 and A2 projects are an important part of the Northern and Central Senegal Agricultural Zone Connectivity Plan (PCZA). The main line of the A1 project is 48 kilometers long, and the A2 project is 53 kilometers long. Both are located in Kao Lak and Kavrin in central Senegal. It is the main peanut planting area and trading area of Serbia. The owner of the project is Senegal Highway Engineering and Administration (AGEROUTE). The design speed of the road is 80 km/h, and the construction period is 20 months.

Agriculture is one of the important economic pillars of Senegal. The agricultural area connecting line project is an important part of Senegal's road and highway transportation master plan. After the project is completed, it will greatly improve the traffic between the main grain producing areas and the demand market, and improve rural life environment.

China Power Construction signs overseas engineering contracts

Saudi WAD Photovoltaic Project EPC Contract

A few days ago, Shandong Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd. and France's Total officially signed the EPC contract for the WAD photovoltaic project in Saudi Arabia. The WAD project is located in the southwest of Najd Province, Saudi Arabia, about 900 kilometers away from Jeddah Port. The scope of work is to build a new 118.997MW photovoltaic power station, supporting booster stations and expansion and transformation of opposite-end SEC substations. It is part of the National Renewable Energy Program (NREP) of Saudi Arabia. One of the projects in the third round of bidding, it is also an important part of the Saudi government's 2030 vision. The owner, Total, is the fourth largest oil and gas company in the world. Founded in 1924, its business covers more than 120 countries, covering energy products such as oil, biofuels, natural gas, green gas, renewable energy and electricity.

This project is the first single photovoltaic project implemented by SEPCO and even POWERCHINA Group in Saudi Arabia, marking the first strategic cooperation between SEPCO and Total, and a new major breakthrough in the international general contracting market! Bids 2 and 3 of Sierra Leone Rural Bridge Design and Construction Project

On April 3, 2023, the Ninth Hydropower Bureau formally signed the 2nd and 3rd bids of the rural bridge design and construction project with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Sierra Leone through the signing of a joint venture.

Sierra Leone is located in West Africa, bordering the Atlantic Ocean, with superior natural conditions, a sound legal system, and good social security. In terms of economic construction, Sierra Leone vigorously develops agriculture, forestry, fishery, mining and infrastructure, promotes export growth, and implements a strategy of economic diversification. At present, China-Serbia economic and trade cooperation mainly focuses on mining development, infrastructure construction and fishing and other fields.

The project is funded by the World Bank and is a local livelihood project. The main construction content is to design and build two rural bridges to replace the original manual cable ferries. The bridge deck is equipped with two-way lanes and sidewalks. Lot 2 of the project is located at Matttru Jong Ferry, Punt District, southwest of Sierra Leone, and Lot 3 is located at Gendema Ferry, Kenema District, southeast of Sierra Leone.

After the project is completed, it will further improve the layout of the transportation network, provide local residents with safe, efficient, fast and convenient travel conditions, help the development of local agriculture and service trade, play a positive role in the local transportation industry, and continuously promote the prosperity and development of the local economy and society.Editor/Ma Xue
