Recently, the Sidi Aïch Tunnel, the control project of Béjaïa connecting line of Algeria's east-west expressway contracted by China Railway Construction Corporation, was opened to traffic. The Béjaïa connecting line starts from Béjaïa Port in the north and connects the east-west expressway of the economic artery in the south, with a total length of about 100 kilometers. Its smooth opening will solve the problem of traffic jam for 900000 residents nearby. Meanwhile, since the launch of the project, it has provided a total of 18000 local employment opportunities, becoming another model of China Arab cooperation.

As a key Control engineering of the project, Sidiez Tunnel has been designated as an engineering technology training base by the Algerian government. Teachers from several engineering universities, such as the Algerian National Institute of Public Engineering, led students to the site for study. In addition, when natural disasters came, China Railway Construction Corporation actively participated in road repair and emergency rescue, and set up itinerant medical service points to receive more than 3600 person times; Jointly fighting against the epidemic, China Railway Construction Corporation Algeria Co., Ltd. donated 100 respirators to Algeria to give back to the local people with true feelings, and won high praise from the Algerian government and all sectors of society with practical measures.Editor/Ma Xue
