Ballykeel Wind Farm is Northern Ireland’s first renewable energy project to be delivered through a corporate power purchase agreement. Amazon has become the world's leading corporate buyer of renewable energy through hundreds of direct offtake deals with clean energy developers in recent years and currently meets about 90% of its electricity needs through direct purchases of renewable energy.

The company claims that its global operations will be powered by 100% renewable electricity by 2025, supported by investments in more than 400 wind and solar projects around the world.
