On May 16, 2026, Xinjiang Lixin Energy Co., Ltd. issued a major announcement that its holding subsidiary Qitai County Nengtou Hechuang Power Generation Co., Ltd. has officially obtained the "Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Investment Project Filing Certificate" for three wind power projects issued by the Development and Reform Commission of Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, with a total installed capacity of 2.5GW.

Three wind power projects have been approved

These three approved projects are all located in Qitai County, Changji Prefecture, which has abundant wind energy resources. Specifically, they are the 750000 kW wind power project of Nengtou Hechuang Qitai County, the 750000 kW wind power project invested by Xinjiang Energy North Xinjiang in Qitai County, and the 1 million kW wind power project of Xinjiang Energy Qitai County. The total planned investment for the three projects is 8.37 billion yuan, with two 750000 kilowatt projects each planned to invest 2.53 billion yuan, and a 1 million kilowatt project planned to invest 3.31 billion yuan. Lixin Energy stated that the company has legally and compliantly obtained project filing documents and has the main qualification for project development. In order to accelerate project implementation, optimize resource allocation, and leverage synergies, in accordance with the relevant work requirements of the autonomous region, the subsequent project construction plans to be jointly invested and promoted by Qitai Energy Investment and local state-owned enterprises with industrial resources and financial strength. The specific mode of cooperation, equity ratio, and capital contribution will be determined through consultation among all parties, and the decision-making and information disclosure process will be completed in accordance with regulations.
