The Democratic Republic of Congo is the second largest country on the African continent, with abundant natural resources and untapped potential. However, the infrastructure development of this country lags far behind its resource richness. The lack of electricity facilities in the capital city of Kinshasa has caused many residents to fall into darkness after sunset, seriously affecting their daily lives.

Against this background, China's the Belt and Road Initiative is playing an important role. Chinese power builders are tirelessly dedicating themselves to the construction of power facilities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Their work not only brings light to the local area, but also sets an example for the energy and infrastructure development of the entire African continent.

In Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, except for the city center, most residents fall into darkness whenever night falls. In their lives, there is rarely a stable power supply, and only occasional passing cars bring a faint glow. However, in recent years, with the deepening of China's the Belt and Road project, this situation is changing. Chinese power builders are investing in infrastructure construction in Kinshasa, and their efforts are gradually lighting up the night sky of the city, bringing stable power supply to local residents.

At present, Chinese personnel are conducting power distribution and household access work in the Jindeli district of Kinshasa. The local residents were very happy to learn that their home would have light at night.

Local resident Susan: This is a good thing for us because we used to have no electricity, but now they have provided us with electricity. This makes us feel good.

Small shop owner Roche: Before, we didn't have electricity, and water, juice, and wine couldn't sell well. At that time, we also lived in darkness during the day, and it was really difficult to sell things. But now we have electricity, which is too exciting. Because you have come and done us a good deed.

The owner representative of the State Power Company of the Democratic Republic of Congo is very satisfied with China's current work and looks forward to continuing to cooperate with China in improving the future power supply in Kinshasa.

Jin Buma, General Manager of Zongge Hydropower Station: I hope that the construction of large-scale hydropower facilities can continue. In this way, the majority of the population in the Democratic Republic of Congo can benefit from electricity supply, thereby promoting the country's development.

Chinese builders are like lighthouses guiding light, their work is illuminating the night sky of Kinshasa. This achievement not only brings substantial convenience to the local residents, but also points out the direction for the future development of the Democratic Republic of Congo and even the entire African continent.
