On the morning of February 1, 2023, the construction of a pilot zone for deep economic and trade cooperation between China and Africa and the promotion of the China Africa Economic and Trade Expo in Africa were successfully held in Beijing. The conference promoted the activities of the China Africa Economic and Trade Expo entering Africa, introduced the construction situation and future development prospects of the pilot zone, and promoted relevant activities.

Nigerian Ambassador Babagana Wakil attended the China Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Pilot Zone Construction and China Africa Economic and Trade Expo Entering Africa Promotion Conference held in Beijing. He said, "Nigeria, as one of the eight guest countries, looks forward to strengthening bilateral economic and trade exchanges and cooperation through the China Africa Economic and Trade Expo, and promoting a mutually beneficial and win-win partnership between the two sides."

At this promotion conference, Nigeria showcased its advantageous industries and characteristic products in fields such as oil and gas, agriculture, and introduced its desire and demand for economic and trade cooperation with Chinese enterprises. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will actively play the role of a bridge and link, support Chinese enterprises to invest and develop in Nepal, and promote China Nepal economic and trade cooperation to a new level.

The holding of this promotion conference aims to promote more practical cooperation by holding the "Entering Africa" activities of the 2024 China Africa Economic and Trade Expo in Kenya in May and Nigeria in November. The event is themed "Working Together to Create a Better Future" and revolves around a series of activities in areas such as investment and trade, infrastructure, agricultural development, business and trade, cultural tourism, and media cooperation.
