China and Serbia are all-weather friends and important partners of cooperation. The relationship between the two countries has withstood the test of time and history, and is constantly evolving. On February 17, 2024, Serbian President Vucic met with Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, who attended the Munich Security Conference.

Wang Yi expressed that China Serbia relations have gone through international trials and tribulations, and have formed sincere and profound friendship. The strong and effective cooperation between China and Serbia is in line with the long-term interests of both sides. No matter how big or small a country is, as long as it has a strong iron backbone, it can win a prestigious reputation and respect from all parties in the international community. China will continue to firmly support Serbia in safeguarding sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity. This is not only to consolidate the "iron friendship" between China and Serbia, but also to oppose separatist actions, uphold the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter, and defend international fairness and justice.

Wang Yi said that China values the solid friendship and mutual trust formed between China and Serbia, and is willing to strengthen high-level exchanges with Serbia, plan future cooperation, and push China Serbia relations to a new height, opening a new chapter of unity and cooperation between China and Serbia. We firmly believe that President Vuchi ć will lead the Serbian people to achieve greater results on the path of national development and revitalization.

Vucic expressed gratitude to China for consistently respecting Serbia, supporting Serbia in safeguarding national sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, and providing valuable assistance for Serbia's economic and social development. Last year, Serbia and China signed a free trade agreement, leading to a rapid increase in economic and trade investment and the smooth progress of large-scale infrastructure projects. Although Serbia is a small country, we insist on independence and are willing to continue to be a reliable friend of China and work together to push Serbia China relations to a new level.

The development momentum of China Serbia friendly cooperative relations is good. Both sides will further deepen cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, and production capacity, strengthen investment cooperation in agriculture, transportation infrastructure construction, and other areas, promote the implementation of economic and technological cooperation agreements between the Chinese and Serbian governments, support local civil exchanges and cultural exchanges, and enhance people's friendship and mutual understanding.
