On the morning of March 16, 2024, the Jingzhou Port Salt Card Phase III Multipurpose Terminal Project ushered in an exciting moment. With the command of the commander, the general contracting project for the construction of hydraulic structures at berths 3 and 4 has officially begun. On the dock platform, the roar of drilled cast-in-place piles sounded, while at the same time, the excavation work of the bank slope earthwork also began synchronously, and the entire site was busy and orderly.

The Jingzhou Port Salt Card Phase III Multipurpose Terminal Project, as a major infrastructure project, has planned a total of 4 berths, including 2 multi-purpose berths and 2 general-purpose berths. The total length of the shoreline reaches 432 meters, and the project also includes corresponding roads, storage yards, production auxiliary buildings, as well as complete facilities such as water supply, power supply, fire protection, and environmental protection. The annual design throughput of this project is as high as 4.51 million tons, with an estimated total investment of approximately 630 million yuan. At present, the construction of multi-purpose berths 1 # and 2 # has been successfully completed, and the construction of berths 3 # and 4 # is a key part of the project, mainly including core facilities such as dock platforms, shore approach bridges, and revetments.

Yanka Port Area, as the core port area of Jingzhou Port, is not only an important window for Jingzhou City to open up to the outside world, but also a hub for the transportation of bulk commodities by rail and water. The two universal berths under construction are planned to be completed in early 2025. After the entire project is completed, the number of berths in the Yanka Port area will reach 8, with a total shoreline length of nearly 1 kilometer. The total throughput capacity will be increased to 7 million tons, and the container throughput capacity will also reach 200000 TEUs. This series of improvements will greatly optimize the functional layout of the Yanka Port area, significantly enhance the collection and distribution capacity of the port area, further improve the throughput capacity of bulk cargo and the accessibility of rail water intermodal transportation.

Since the project was approved in early December 2023, the project construction team of Jinggang Group has been fully committed to promoting various preparations before the start of construction. Carefully compile a list around the four major goals and tasks of budget approval, bidding approval, bid opening and evaluation, and pile sinking and construction, and implement a wall map operation. At the same time, the troops were deployed in multiple ways and multiple units were involved, and the construction drawings were approved as soon as possible. On the eve of the Spring Festival, we even completed the online bidding before the window of the public resource trading center closed, which won valuable time for subsequent construction.

Since the opening of the project bid, Jinggang Group has been actively negotiating construction contracts, reviewing drawings, and clearing construction sites. They actively sought strong support from industry authorities in areas such as housing and construction, waterways, maritime affairs, and transportation, and quickly reviewed and approved various construction procedures, successfully reversing the previous situation of slow, difficult, and obstructed project construction.

Next, Jinggang Group will continue to closely monitor the key node of pile foundation construction, reverse the construction period, and race against time. The team will work efficiently and accurately to ensure that all 254 pile sinking construction tasks are completed before the arrival of the Yangtze River flood season, laying a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the project.
