Recently, PLNNP, a subsidiary of the Indonesian State Power Company (PLN), announced an important news: Guodian Power, a subsidiary of the National Energy Group, successfully won the bid for the 100,000 kilowatt floating photovoltaic power plant project in Karangkades, Indonesia. This bid not only marks the first breakthrough of the national energy Group in the field of overseas photovoltaic power station investment, but also the first bid of Chinese enterprises in Indonesia's concentrated photovoltaic IPP project, which has an important milestone significance.
It is understood that the Kalangkades floating 100MW photovoltaic power plant project is located in the Kalangkades Dam in Malang City, East Java province, Indonesia. The planned installed capacity of the project has reached 100,000 kilowatts, which will become the second largest centralized photovoltaic power plant project in Indonesia, and its scale and impact can be seen.
The Indonesian National Power Company has been maintaining a high degree of attention and concern for the promotion of this project. As early as January 2023, the company started the pre-qualification work for the project, and after rigorous screening and review, it finally selected Guodian Power as a partner. This not only reflects the strong strength and technical advantages of Guodian Power in the field of photovoltaic power station construction, but also shows the competitiveness and influence of Chinese enterprises in the international market.
The project is scheduled to go into commercial operation in 2026. At that time, the floating photovoltaic power station will provide important support for Indonesia's energy supply and promote the sustainable development of the local economy. At the same time, this will also establish a better image and reputation for the national energy Group in the international market, and lay a solid foundation for its future business expansion and development.
With the transformation of the global energy structure and the rapid development of clean energy, photovoltaic power plants, as an important renewable energy project, are gradually becoming an important part of the energy strategy of various countries. The successful bid of Guodian Power in Indonesia not only won more opportunities and space for China's photovoltaic industry in the international market, but also made a positive contribution to promoting the development of global clean energy.
Looking to the future, the National Energy Group will continue to increase the layout and investment in the field of overseas photovoltaic power station investment, actively expand the international market, and promote the wide application and sustainable development of clean energy. At the same time, Chinese enterprises will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with international partners to jointly promote the transformation of the global energy structure and green development.
