On April 13, 2024, China Power Investment Yunnan International participated in the signing ceremony of the cooperation development agreement of the Phase II wind power project in Huaihua City, Hunan Province.

The total installed capacity of the project is 368.4MW, which is located in Hunan Province, which is a considerable scale, can generate a large amount of clean energy, and provide strong support for the power supply of Hunan. The specific sites were rigorously evaluated and planned to ensure that the local wind energy resources could be fully utilized. Hunan Province has successfully signed a total of 613,400 kW of wind power projects in the 14th Five-Year Plan for new energy, of which Yunnan International will be responsible for 368,400 kw of wind power development in Huaihua City. Yunnan International said that the signing of the agreement marks the effective practice of its concept of innovative development in Hunan. Prior to this, Yunnan International has invested in the development of distributed PV, centralized PV and wind power in Chenzhou, Hengnan, Xinhua and Yuanling in Hunan Province. According to the "Hunan Province New Power System Development planning Outline" forecast, by 2030, Hunan's wind power and photovoltaic power generation capacity will reach 40 million kilowatts of ambitious goals.

The project will help to promote the optimization and transformation of Hunan's energy structure.
