The Moroccan Sustainable Energy Agency (MASEN) has initiated the bidding qualification process for the Nassim Nord onshore wind power project, which has a total scale of 400MW and is located in the northern region of Morocco. Bidders are required to submit their applications before 14:00 Moroccan time on June 24th, and are expected to enter the RfP process in September.
The Nassim Nord project includes the Nassim Koudia Al Baida wind power expansion project located in Fahs Anjara Province and Mdiq Fnideq Province, with an installed capacity of 150MW, as well as the Nassim Dar Chaoui wind power project located in Tangier Province and Texas Province, with an installed capacity of 250MW.
The bidding scope includes project development, financing, construction, operation, maintenance, and demolition. MASEN will directly or through its subsidiaries hold shares *, provide project land and act as the power repurchase party for the project, and sign a 30-year PPA with the winning bidder.
The leading bidder of the project will hold 35% of the shares of the project company, and other members will hold at least 5% of the shares. MASEN encourages bidders to form a consortium with Moroccan partners, but this does not constitute a condition for pre qualification or a mandatory requirement in the bidding process.Editor/XuNing
