On April 15, 2024, the centralized procurement platform of PowerChina issued the "EPC General Contract Project of PowerChina East China Institute Huaneng Yuhuan No. 2 offshore Wind Power Project 400MW(16MW*25) wind turbine (including five years of tower maintenance) procurement Project Transaction Announcement", and Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid for the project.

Project profile

Huaneng Yuhuan 2 is the largest offshore wind power project in southeast Zhejiang Province. It is located in the waters of Yuhuan City, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province. The center of the site is 34km offshore and the water depth is 36-40m. The field area is parallelogram, 4.0km long from east to west, 9.8km wide from north to south, and 41.9km2 in area. The project plans to install 6 18MW wind turbines and 25 16MW wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 508MW, and build a 220kV offshore booster station and an onshore metering station.
