On April 18, 2024, Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park ushered in a grand signing and construction start event for key projects, which was held grandly in Jiangjin District. This event not only brought together many projects in the fields of advanced equipment, advanced materials, logistics and modern supply chain services, but also demonstrated the important position and strong driving force of Jiangjin District in regional development.

Jiangjin District showed strong attraction in this centralized signing event and successfully signed 11 projects with a total investment of 17.82 billion yuan. These projects are expected to achieve a total output value of 28.08 billion yuan after reaching full capacity, injecting new vitality into the economic development of Jiangjin and even the entire Chongqing region. Among them, the strategic cooperation between Jiangjin Comprehensive Bonded Zone and Thailand-China Rayong Industrial Park has become a highlight. Both parties jointly promote the implementation of major projects such as the MCC Saidi Metallurgical Electromechanical Equipment Complete Project.

MCC Saidi Metallurgical and Electrical Equipment Complete Project is the leader among the contracted projects, with a total investment of 3 billion yuan and an expected output value of 10 billion yuan. The project will build a series of core electrical equipment projects and metallurgical and electromechanical complete equipment bases to provide strong support for the metallurgical and electromechanical industries in Jiangjin District and even the country. The person in charge of the company said that they chose to settle in Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park because of its unique geographical advantages and convenient transportation conditions. Relying on Luohuang Port and Xiaonanya Railway Logistics Center, the industrial park can easily connect with Eurasia and Southeast Asia, providing a strong guarantee for the international development of enterprises.

In addition to the contracted projects, Jiangjin District has also started 24 projects with a total investment of 12.065 billion yuan. These projects include both industrial projects and infrastructure projects, covering multiple fields such as intelligent short-distance travel equipment production bases, agricultural machinery R&D and manufacturing centers, and agricultural product cold chain distribution centers. The commencement of construction of these projects will further promote the optimization and upgrading of Jiangjin District's industrial structure and the improvement of urban infrastructure.

As the Chongqing main hub of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor and one of the main carriers of the construction of Chongqing land-port national logistics hub, Jiangjin District is accelerating the construction of an integrated supply chain logistics service system. Jiangjin District continues to enhance its status as a logistics hub through measures such as optimizing and strengthening the main rail-sea combined transport channel of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor and expanding international train routes. At the same time, relying on the main cold chain logistics hub of Luohuang and the Shuangfu cold chain agricultural and sideline products distribution center, Jiangjin District is striving to become an important ASEAN agricultural product distribution and trading center and life service base in Chongqing and even the country.

This centralized signing and construction start-up event not only demonstrates Jiangjin District’s strong momentum and huge potential in economic development, but also reflects Jiangjin District’s positive attitude and firm determination in promoting regional cooperation and international development.
