The Norwegian government has signed a contract with Ventyr Energi, the winner of the recently held auction, for an offshore wind farm in the Sørlige NordsjøII area.
Ventyr Energi, a consortium consisting of Parkwind and Ingka Investments, has been awarded the right to develop the wind farm in the Sørlige NordsjøII area with a winning bid of NOK 1.15 (EUR 0.099) per KWH.
"This marks an important milestone in Norway's commitment to renewable energy. I firmly believe that Sørlige NordsjøII can be a catalyst for the realization of our ambitions for the Norwegian offshore wind industry." The Ventyr Energi Consortium also maintains a strategic partnership with NorSea Group, based in Norway.
The Norwegian government aims to allocate 30,000 MW of offshore wind energy areas by 2040.
