In 2024, we will mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary. Standing at this historic meeting point, we cannot help but ponder: how did the relationship between China and Hungary develop and reach the depth and breadth it has today?
Balazi Orban, chief political officer of the Hungarian Prime Minister, in an interview, used the four words "increasingly close" to describe the current situation of Sino-Hungarian relations, which not only accurately summarizes the current situation of bilateral relations, but also indicates the broad prospects for future cooperation.
Balaz-orban further said that Hungary has always been at the forefront in promoting friendly relations with China and has created a series of landmark "firsts". Hungary is not only the first European country to sign a memorandum of understanding on Belt and Road cooperation with China, but also has taken substantial steps in the field of education, becoming the first European country to open bilingual schools teaching Hungarian and Chinese. These measures have not only enhanced the mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, but also laid a solid foundation for bilateral cooperation.
In addition to cooperation in the field of education, China and Hungary have also carried out extensive and in-depth cooperation in many fields such as economy, trade, science and technology and culture. The increasing investment of Chinese enterprises in Hungary has created a large number of job opportunities and economic growth points for the local people. At the same time, Hungary has also actively participated in China's Belt and Road construction and pushed for new progress in bilateral cooperation in infrastructure, energy and other fields.
Looking to the future, Balaz-Orban said he hopes that China and Hungary can continue to deepen cooperation and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. He stressed that the two sides should strengthen cooperation in high-tech, new energy, environmental protection and other fields to promote the upgrading of bilateral relations. At the same time, he also called on the two sides to strengthen people-to-people exchanges and enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the people, so as to lay a solid foundation for the long-term development of bilateral relations.
The relationship between China and Hungary has become increasingly close, and the cooperation between the two sides has also shown a broad and in-depth trend. In the coming days, we have every reason to believe that China and Hungary will continue to move forward hand in hand and jointly write an even more brilliant chapter of cooperation.
