Eugene, a postdoctoral researcher from Moscow, Russia, has obtained a permanent residence permit and a five-star card for foreigners in the People's Republic of China. He went to Northwestern Polytechnical University in China in 2018 to pursue a doctoral degree, and later worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Xinjiang, focusing on the field of crystal structure calculation, using automation tools to help the team efficiently discover new materials.

Having worked and lived in Xinjiang for many years, Eugene has adapted to the local climate and cuisine, loves to drink Chinese tea, loves to eat grilled meat, and is proficient in using chopsticks. He regards the five-star card as recognition and is willing to build a bridge for scientific and technological cooperation between China and Russia in the future, promoting in-depth exchanges between researchers from both countries.Editor/Gao Xue
